1. Lodge 6 qt Cast Iron Dutch Oven $$ I have this dutch oven because I could fit it in our budget and I love it. It works great for baking bread, but also for a big pot of soup or chili.
2. Le Creuset 5.5 qt Dutch Oven $$$ I have always had my eye on this Dutch Oven, and maybe one day if I am ever in need of a new dutch oven I will save my penny for this. I hear they last forever and are the cream of the crop when it comes to cast iron dutch ovens.
3. Hearth & Hand 5 qt Dutch Oven $ After spending all day baking when I had more than one loaf of bread to cook, I sent my husband to Target to find me another dutch oven. He is thrifty ( aka cheap ) and I was a little worried when he came home with this, but it has worked great.
4. Emile Henry Bread Cloche $$ My sister in law sent me the link to this bread cloche and I can’t stop thinking about it. It is made in France and something about just that fact makes me want this and thinks it has to produce better bread haha, that is super logical right?
5. Challenger Bread Pan $$$ This pan has been on my wishlist for at least a year. Can you imagine baking two loaves, or a bunch of mini loaves all at once? I also keep thinking about the killer focaccia you could make on this.
6. Central Milling Flour $$ Good flour is worth the hype. I actually believe that now and Central Milling Flour is so fresh and ground so well, it never disappoints. Check out their 00 flour or their high mountain (bread) flour.
7. Flourist Flour (in Canada) $ During quarantine I finally got my hands on some Flourist flour and it was amazing. They are Canadian based, but ship to the USA.
8. Wire Monkey Bread Lame $$ I know you can buy cheap bread lames on Amazon, but they just do not compare to the Wire Monkey bread lame. Tyler (the creator) is passionate about the quality of his product and innovative with the ergonomic designs and any sourdough baking friend would be lucky to get this as a gift. If I had to pick one thing from the list, this might just be it.
9. Banneton Set $ Having proper bannetons helps to make the bread baking process work that much better. This is a set of 2 so you can bake one loaf for you and one for a friend.
10. Flourside Wood Pulp Banneton $$ These bannetons first caught my eye because they are beautiful. They often sell out, but get on the waiting list because not only are these sustainable, but after some flour dusting, the dough doesn’t stick and they are amazing.
11. Flour Sack Towels (4 pk) $ These are my favorite cotton towels to have when baking bread, I like to wrap or line my banneton with these, use them to cover rising dough and so much more. They are amazing and SOO cheap.
12. Keeki Bread Bag (in Canada) $ Finding a good way to store bread hasn’t been easy, but then I ordered a keeki bag and things changed. They are in Canada but will ship to the USA, order soon so you can get it by Christmas.
13. Kitchen Scale $ The easiest way to up your baking game is with a kitchen scale. Weighing ingredients makes for more accurate measurements.
14. Dough Whisk $ I love this dough whisk and use it all the time. I actually wore one out and just got a new one because it has become a staple tool when baking.
