Funfetti Chocolate Chip Cookies
Funfetti chocolate chip cookies
Makes about 30 cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 3/4 cups chocolate chips (I did a mixture of white, milk and semi sweet)
¼ cup sprinkles
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°.
3. In a mixing bowl, or bowl of a stand mixer, combine the butter with both sugars; cream together until light and fluffy, stopping to scrape down the sides at least once.
4. Add in the salt, the vanilla, almond extract and eggs. Mix until well combined, stopping to scrape down the sides at least once.
5. Add in the dry ingredients: the flour and baking soda. Mix this until JUST combined.
6. Add in the chocolate chips and sprinkles and mix until well dispersed in the dough.
7. Drop tablespoon-size balls of dough onto a parchment or silicone lined cookie sheet keeping them about 2 inches.
8. Bake for about 8-11 minutes, when cookies are barely getting golden around the edges, they are done.
9. Let the cookies cool on a baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack, or sneaking a taste.
